The Smugglers Den Wedding

Dan and Leanne

Dan and Leanne’s wedding reception took place at The Smugglers Den Inn, Cubert, Cornwall. In addition, they got married at the church that Dan had attended as a boy in Newquay. The St Columb Minor Parish Church vicar definitely gets the funniest and most quirky vicar prize! Consequently, his banter with the couple had the whole congregation in fits of laughter! So much so, that the best man was left with a mountain to climb for his speech! Once the service was over, it was onwards to the reception…

The Cornish Lanes

The Smugglers Den Inn is hidden away on the Cornish lanes. Once you’ve found it though, this thatched 16th century pub come wedding venue (which also hosts the infamous Pie and Ale festival!) is a place you find difficult to leave*.
Leanne’s pink flamingo themed decorations set the reception room off well, and it wasn’t long before everyone got into party mode and visited my photo booth set up outside.
Thanks to Dan and Leanne for an enjoyable day, my sides are still hurting from listening to the Vicar.

*not least because there’s no phone reception and if you haven’t booked a taxi you’re in trouble!
