92 Burton Road Wedding

Hannah and Neil

Hannah and Neil got married at 92 Burton Road in Sheffield. When I first heard the name, I thought the venue ’92 Burton Road’ sounded a bit mundane. However, the ex-industrial warehouse is known for hosting markets, film screenings, exhibitions and film shoots as well as weddings. It is also home to The Depot Bakery, Nether Edge Pizza Company, Kelham Arcade, Sheffield Cheesemasters and the monthly Peddler Night Market. As the website suggests, this venue is ‘full of gritty character’ which ‘bears the characterful traces of Sheffield’s proud industrial heritage’.

92 Burton Road is a massive blank canvas. Hannah and Neil had decked the interior out to perfection. The brick walls were adorned with net hangings, a chill out area with leather sofas and the pop-up checkered dance floor was placed beneath various coloured paper lamp shades.

The bohemian feel of this venue extended past the decor with the laid back attitude infusing all the guests. Furthermore, this was topped off with incredible food supplied by Aldea and organisation from The Village Green Events.

As a couple, Hannah and Neil were a joy to photograph, exuding happiness with constant smiles throughout the day. In addition, Hannah’s dad made the father-of-the-bride speech a memorable event. For instance, his speech was not only informative and amusing, but also incredibly long! If there had been a sweepstake, you would have collected the pot at half-an-hour or more!

There is one last thing to say – Neil, I hope she forgives you for the ‘mistake’* on her wedding card!

Thanks to Hannah and Neil’s families and friends for all the laughs on the day. Also to 92 Burton Road and staff for making this a memorable wedding!

*Hannah isn’t spelt with an ‘Sp’ at the beginning.
