The Meudon Hotel Wedding
Jac and Julia
As wedding venues go, The Meudon Hotel is a hidden gem in Cornwall’s crown. It nestles in a lush, semi-tropical valley, sloping gently down to a private beach at Bream Cove. For years, it has been run by the same family who cater for each facet of your wedding day.
Bride to be Julia had worked with the hotel team to ensure everything was perfect, including the branches entwined with real flowers to form the archway beneath which she was to be wed. Inside, the top table was also adorned by another branch laden with summer blooms.
Bream Cove
Meanwhile, I had been to reckie the Meudon’s own private beach at Bream Cove for possible post-wedding shots of the happy couple. The walk down to the beach wends it’s way through evergreens and poplars presenting many photo opportunities amongst the stunning scenery.
Afterwards, the couple were married on the Meudon Hotel garden’s mid-tier. While there, we had fun shooting some usher and bridesmaid groups before cream-teas were served on the uppermost patio. Most noteworthy was the unconfined joy of all-comers at this wedding. You could tell just how happy everyone was for the couple!
Consequently, a brief and unexpected downpour sent the guests inside, which was lucky because dinner was about to commence. Amongst the dinner table activities was a competition to draw a caricature of Jac and Julia. Check out the photos for some of the more interesting outcomes!
Time after post-dinner speeches allowed me to take the newly weds on a walk down to the beach and shoot amongst the breathtaking landscape.
Thanks to Jac and Julia for being a lovely couple and the Meudon Hotel for a great bash and incredible food!
