Boconnoc House Wedding

Sarah and Fred

Sarah and Fred’s was the definitive Boconnoc House wedding, with a twist!

BBC Period Drama

As a Wedding Photographer in Cornwall, I get spoilt by many amazing venues and locations to photograph. Therefore, Boconnoc House and Estate is no exception. Consequently, driving through it’s wild Parkland you would be forgiven for thinking you were lost on the set of a BBC period drama. Except that this wedding had a Hawaiian/Floridian theme with loud suits and dresses in abundance! It felt like a cross between Pride and Prejudice and a beach boys video!

Jenny Wren

Jenny Wren Weddings and Events made good use of the stunning locations surrounding the house for this Boconnoc House Wedding. Hence Sarah and Fred’s ceremony took place next to the ornamental fountain in the Dorothy Garden. Furthermore, the lawn was also graced by an African harmony choir who had everyone singing along! As a result, their colourful costumes and amazing friendly vibes had everyone smiling!

Antique Tractors

Probably the highlight of this incredible day, was the lap-of-honour jaunt around the grounds on a cavalcade of steam-powered antique tractors! Certainly (and albeit very slowly!), the happy couple led their friends to the reception at the house itself. Finally, a picturesque dinner was served before dancing the night away under the flamingo pink canopy!

Fly past

Unbeknownst to most folk at the wedding, Sarah had a friend in the RAF who is a pilot. As a result, her phone rang mid-meal and she rushed outside to wave furiously at the sky as a plane looped the loop overhead. Half of the other diners followed and there were soon whoops of delight echoing across the ornamental lawns!

Thank you to Sarah, Fred and their respective families for a raucously funny day!
