T’s & C’s

Terms & Conditions

Booking deposit: A 25% deposit for any wedding package is due on signing an agreement with Leo Sharp after booking.

Entire Agreement: This agreement contains the entire understanding between the Client and the Photographer.

Confirmation: A signed “Contract for Wedding Photography Services” and payment of the booking fee are necessary to
confirm the stated wedding services from the Photographer.

Payment: The final balance must be paid to The Photographer exactly one month before the wedding day.

Pre-Wedding Consultation: This normally happens at the time of booking on either the phone, via Skype or Facetime or
in person. The Client will outline broadly what is required and the Photographer will advise on planning, logistics and
timings where needed. Depending on the location, it may not be possible to meet The Photographer in person prior to the

Cooperation: The Client and the Photographer consent to happily cooperating and communicating with each other to
achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract. On booking The Photographer shall be granted
artistic licence including in relation to poses photographed and locations used. The Photographer may also require the
assistance of the best man or designated person in organizing family groups if required. The Client also agrees to give the
Photographer sufficient warning of key events at the wedding to give the Photographer time to prepare. E.g: Bouquet
throwing, cutting the cake, speeches etc. Please note that not all guests at weddings like having their photo taken. In such
cases the Photographer will use his discretion but cannot be held responsible for a lack of photos of these people.

The Schedule: Our shooting schedule, style of working and experience are designed to achieve a great set of wedding
photos for the Client, accomplished with good humour and enjoyed by all concerned. Both the Client and the
Photographer therefore agree that punctuality and cheerful cooperation are essential to producing outstanding
photographic results. In cases where the wedding does not run on time (for example; extreme lateness by one of the
either the Client or a guest arriving to the church or wedding ceremony) we cannot guarantee to take our normal set of
photos although in such circumstances we will do our absolute best to compensate.

House Rules: Note the Photographer will sometimes be limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue
management as to what can and cannot be done. For example some ministers insist that no flash photography is allowed,
and others will insist that the Photographer shoot from a specific location. In such circumstances the Client agree to
accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used. We advise the Client to make themselves
aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary negotiate with the personnel concerned.

Wedding Guests: All your guests will have digital cameras and camera phones and all your guests will want to
photograph the Client. In the spirit of cheerful cooperation the Client agrees to give the Photographer precedence over the
guests in order to take the photographs required for the wedding services described above. We cannot be held liable for a
lack of wedding photos if guests taking their own photos of the Client continually interrupt the work of the Photographer.

Copyright Law: The copyright of photographs remains with the Photographer. The Photographer grants the Client
permission to make copies of the images under the following conditions. The images taken by the Photographer are for
personal use by the Client, family and their friends. Sale, publication or any commercial use of the photographs is not
allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer.

Model Release: The Client grants the Photographer and its legal representatives, heirs and assigns, the irrevocable and
unlimited consent to use the photographs of the Client for editorial, competition, advertising and any other purpose and in
any manner, to alter the photographs without restriction; and to copyright the images. The Client hereby releases the
Photographer and its legal representatives, heirs and assigns from all liability and claims in connection with the images.

Cancellation, Force Majeure and Act of God: Should the Client choose to cancel this contract at any time prior to the
agreed wedding date, The Photographer shall retain the deposit and will act as compensation for loss of earnings.
Cancellation by The Photographer (for example, due to severe illness, injury, or theft of camera equipment) would of
course see the refunding of all monies paid. In the event of being unable to supply the wedding services specified, the
Photographer will try to book a replacement wedding photographer. Under normal circumstances (unless otherwise
agreed) a second photographer from the Photographer is there for the day and this photographer will then shoot the day
on his/her own. If both photographers are unavailable and a replacement photographer cannot be found then liability is
also limited to a refund of any payments received. The due performance of this contract is subject however to alteration or
cancellation by either party, owing to any cause beyond their control recognized by UK law as Force Majeure or Act of

Complaints: Any complaints should be raised by the Client with the Photographer in writing within 14 days of receiving
the images.

Digital Supply of Images: All images will be supplied to the Client on a USB within 6-8 weeks of the wedding day
(although this may take longer during peak wedding season). It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure safe keeping of
the supplied images and the Photographer recommends copies are made and backed up. It is also the responsibility of
the Client to ensure that upon receiving the storage device is in full working order. A replacement can be provided if the
storage device isn’t working. The Photographer will have working methods in place to prevent loss or damage to your
images. However, there is the unlikely possibility that images may be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons in or beyond
our control. In these circumstances liability is limited to the return of fees paid for the service or part thereof according to
the percentage of images supplied.

Food: For all bookings with exception to shorter weddings, a hot meal – or meals shall be provided for the Photographer
and the assistant.

GDPR: It remains with the client to inform the photographer on the day of any data protection requirements relating to the
photography of any guests.
