Trevenna Barns
Katie and Nathan
Katie and Nathan’s Wedding at Trevenna Barns was a lot of fun! Aside from being long awaited as so many of the post Covid weddings were, these two REALLY wanted to do it! Katie’s assembled Bridesmaids and children really wanted her to do it too. Located in an idyllic and secluded setting within 142 acres of Cornish countryside, Trevenna is a gorgeous cluster of elegant barns. The unique sense of place surrounds you, with the land having been in the family for 100s of years. Approaching down the farm lane, everyone visiting Trevenna is greeted with a view that encompasses the changing of the seasons, from the trees, seasonal crops, farming action, sheep & cows, deer & buzzards, valleys and imposing shape Berry Tor.
Motorcross
Whilst Katie and her entourage were getting ready in the main barn, Nathan and the lads were also donning their toggs. Part of the decor in the main barn included Nathan’s Motorcross bike. This was adorned with one of his racing jerseys. The bike was a great photo opportunity for youngsters to sit atop the beast!
Katie’s Dad’s waxed lyrical on the subject during his speech, including a few moments of gold extracted from Nathan’s motorcross career. At one point a card incorporating a St John’s ambulance photo was produced. This catalogued Nathan’s many motorcross mishaps and trips to hospital. Suffice to say Nathan took all the jibes on the chin with humility. Gathered friends and family enjoyed the stories, whilst much merriemtn ensued!
Flying Veil
Katie and Nathan were lucky in the respect that they had bright sunshine on their Trevenna Barns wedding day. In fact, I couldn’t wait to get them outside to get some couple shots in the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately the arctic winds of November had begun to blow and temperatures were less than desirable! But Kate and Nath are made of tougher stuff than most! I was plesantly surprised as they posed for lots of photos without a care for the cold.
The wind still did it’s best to spoil our fun though. At one point whilst stop atop a grassy mound Katie’s Veil decied to take flight! Luckily Nathan is quick on the draw and recovered the offending piece of organza with but a small chase across the lawn!
Thank you to Katie and Nathan, their friends and family and the staff at Trevenna Barns for an amazing day!
