The Farriers Cafe Wedding

Kristina and Alex

Kristina and Alex held their wedding reception at The Farriers Cafe nestling in the grounds of the magnificent Mount Edgcumbe House. Indeed, the happy couple must have put their wedding weather on pre-order! The stunning September evening could not have been better. That is to say, the balmy East Cornwall coastline was wrapped in golden evening light!

Country Park

The Mount Edgcumbe Country Park covers over 860 acres, stretching from Millbrook Lake around the Rame Head and Whitsand Bay, and taking in the villages of Cawsand and Kingsand. In the heart of the park are the colourful 18th Century formal gardens in the Italian, French and English styles. Indeed, theses are complimented by the newly established American plantation and New Zealand garden. Exploring out into the landscaped park, there are any number of woodland and coastal walks giving marvellous views. It was a handful of these said marvellous views that formed the backdrop for my escape with Kristina and Alex. In other words, we had perfect views across the estuary taking in Drake’s island and the city of Plymouth.

Graylands

Earlier that day, Kristina and Alex had officially tied the knot at Graylands Registry Office in Liskeard. Due to Covid restrictions, numbers in the ceremony were limited to 6 people. Luckily as the weather was good, I was permitted to shoot through the open window! Thank you very much to the registrars for postioning the happy couple where my camera could get a decent view! It is very reasurring to know that the current situation is not keeping true love in check. Indeed, my next wedding post will tell of another couple who haven’t let restrictions get the better of them!

Thank you to Kristina and Alex for a super fun day and being game for a laugh!
